'Where
do we come from?' Why are we here? Where are we going to? Does exposed
really mean unrestrained? So does that mean covered means closed-up?
After this revelation 'Fatma the human being' talks about Dutch culture,
recognition and the Dutch dyke scene. 'More up-to-date than ever'
is an impressive collage on the growing pains and trends in the new
Holland.
During
the past several years Funda Müjde has conquered a totally
independent position as an actress. With respect to content Funda
is clear-cut and up-to-date and gives all of her texts a
hilarious but recognizable face-lift.
After a performance the public thanked her once again for scolding
them. And well, as a matter of fact, she is the ideal daughter-in-law,
who doesn't seem to want to loose her edge.
In 2002 Funda Müjde won the
Cosmic Award for her artistic courage and effort for the multicultural
society. In 2004 she received the Triumph distinction;
the Triumph expresses the input of women from ethnical minorities
in the society and acknowledges them.
Reviews, interviews:
Het Parool (Dutch newspaper):
By these kind of stories performed with self-mockery, Müjde
proves without a doubt that she is an enrichment of Dutch cabaret.
Her stories on cultural clashes haven't been shown on stage that often
before.
